BLOOD concert

SPLEEN ~despair~ ; BLOOD

Hiya to everybody~ My blog is back now, however, my archives are gone, so its time to start over ^.^;; I wonder how everybody has been since October? Its been a long time with no speaking. And I've been a busy, busy bee. This school year I decided to do some of my work, which is just plain weird, and its all been time-consuming. On Tuesday, my shop and the Graphic Design shop are heading over to the Community College, where Teen Arts is being held. My sister attends the Community College, and she told me that Princess Pee-pee Can't Catch Me has made it to the State Tour! I can finally get my name out there a little bit, you know? I submitted three things, and my sister has seen two of them hanging around, but she hasn't seen my Mushroom King, so all I know is Princess Pee-pee is going on tour. Everyone has said that the Mushroom King looks the most impressive, so if Princess Pee-pee is on tour now, maybe the Mushroom King will go on the nation tour? Nah, I'm getting ahead of myself ^.^;;

In other news, Hieica attened the BLOOD concert on March 10, at the NYC Knitting Factory. I've gone to three concerts altogether, +DéspairsRay+ in February of 2006, Dir en grey in February of 2007, and BLOOD last Saturday. Out of all three, BLOOD was the most amazing. It was held in a small place, with not even 300 people there, but it was a thousand times better than the giant Dir en grey mosh. BLOOD is such a personal band, Fu-ki instructed us when to jump, wave our hands, and pump our fists into the air. They drenched us with water, and spoke (in very good English) to us. Dir en grey went onto the stage, ignored our existence as they performed, and left. Fu-ki screamed to us "Are you hot!? Do you want some water!?" and mutilated a water bottle all over our heads. He shushed us when it came to silent parts, and made us chant "Hey! Hey! Hey!" over and over, and it was simply amazing. I took 167 pictures, however the majority of them were terribly blurry because I had flash off. This layout is made with a few pictures I took of the concert.

And I got my temper tantrum I went there for. There was no chair-throwing, but Kiwamu shrieked at the audio engineer while he was on stage and called him stupid. They had technical difficulties when they were trying to play I Remember You and Kiwamu just screamed. Everybody stopped waving their arms with Fu-ki and stared at him in silence. Then they left the stage and Roger (think you're funny? T.T) came out and said they weren't playing anymore and told everyone to go home. His tone suggested he was joking, but a lot of people took him seriously. He came back out and told everyone he was kidding a few minutes later... and when BLOOD came back out, everyone started screaming, until Fu-ki shushed us so they could test the instruments and the sound. It was dead silent in there ^.^;;

During the concert, Fu-ki announced that they would be signing the merchandise you bought after they got off stage, so as soon as the concert was done, we hopped onto the line and took the ooklets out of our CD cases. I spent $120 there, and I got the BRUMES ET PLUIES single for $10, SPLEEN~despair~ for $20, VENGEANCE for BLOOD LIMITED EDITION (18 track CD and DVD) for $35, VENGEANCE for BLOOD LIVE in MEXICO for $35, and a huge poster for $20. I didn't expect them to sign the poster (they were standing up without anything flat to lean it against) until Kaede ripped it out of my hands ^.^;; I didn't think they would sign every single thing you bought either, but Roger said they would, and he kept handing me my CD booklets back, and my head was down, trying to organize the booklets, and someone pat my head. I thought it was one of my friends, but when I looked up, I saw Kiwamu with his arm extended, and my jaw just dropped. I guess he pat my head because I bought so much >.>;;

Overall, it was the best Japanese concert I've ever been to, and if I ever had a choice between a Dir en grey or a BLOOD concert on the same night, I'd definitely go to the BLOOD concert. I had a blast.
